About Tina
Tina’s wonderfully busy career spans over 60 years, with over 400 stage appearances, 1500 radio plays and Netflix chart-topping feature film, TV and video games.
It all began in her native Scotland with seasons in Edinburgh, Pitlochry, Perth and St Andrews.
Recent theatre includes: Silence (Colchester) Tartuffe (Tobacco Factory), Steel Magnolias, Don't Look Now (Hornchurch), The Singing Stones (Arcola), The History Boys (National Theatre), The Ghost Train, (Brockley Jack), To Kill A Mockingbird. Radio credits include Heat of the Day, From Fact to Fiction, Daunt and Dervish, two series of Agatha Raisin with Penelope Keith, The Piano, Talking to Sticky, The Vicar of Wakefield.
Tina has come to know the joys of film and television late in her career, cutting her teeth on five Rosalind Pilcher films for German television, playing the house keeper. During the past decade, Tina has hugely enjoyed playing in several feature films and TV series with major stars, and many short films with wonderful new writing.

Personal Life
1940 Born in Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland, during an air raid. Father joined the RAF.
1946 Moved to London. Father promoted to London manager of Caldwell’s Paper Mill, Inverkeithing, where he started as a tea boy. Awarded DFC. 1948 Father died due to PTSD
1945 Inverkeithing School. 1946 Beech House, Sanderstead. 1948-58 Croydon High School for girls. GDST
1958-61 - Trained at the Drama department of the Royal Academy of Music in London. Graduated with distinction. Won the Shakespeare prize
1961- present day.
Busy career as professional actress.
1971-2012 Happily married to Canadian Theatre Director, Robert Hamlin. His brilliant career took Tina to Plymouth (Plymouth Theatre Company) for 8 years, Coventry (Belgrade Theatre) for 15 years, and Tewkesbury (Roses Theatre) for 10 years. He was a tremendous support and inspiration, until his death in London in 2012.
